Former Sprague Player Leads Team To National Tournament

Fionna Connolly, Regis-Sprague: The junior at the University of Redlands helped lead the Bulldogs into the NCAA Division III women’s soccer tournament.

Connolly, a 2008 Regis High School graduate who played soccer at Sprague, has 21 points on 9 goals and three assists this season.

Connolly scored the game’s lone goal in the 106th minute of Redlands’ win against Occidental in the Southern California Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship game.

The Bulldogs play at Chapman on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Fionna leads the team with 9 goals this season!!! Good luck in the tournament!

This week, the team thought it would be great to show off the lighter side of Oly Soccer. In this case, the JV goalkeeper takes on a challenge to drop kick three balls into a trash can placed at midfield.
